ground floor lounge

The ground floor is a beautiful open-plan space, with a private entrance to the street, and access to the internal yard through south-facing french doors.

From the front door into the vestibule, step up past the etched glass screen into the main lounge.  This space is arranged around a central core structure with sweeping oak staircase and stunning hand-forged balustrading.

There is a fully-fitted kitchen with fridge, hob, oven and washing machine. A radial slate breakfast bar seats up to four, and a large dual curved sofa with coffee table offers comfort to relax.

A glazed door off from the kitchen area leads to the gloriously light and beautiful garden room, with stained-glass wall to one end, and separate access via french doors to the private yard.

Special glazing to the roof provides u-v protection, with heating provided by efficient modern radiators. Ideal as a relaxing dining, reading and writing space, this room can also be used as a music room.

A baby-grand piano is provided, along with a round dining table which seats up to four, plus a soft area with two armchairs and coffee table.  An open fire can also be enjoyed.

upper floor studio

On the upper floor, the south-facing glazed wall of the ground floor lounge extends upwards through the studio to an apex, capturing maximum natural light to flood this beautiful contemporary space.

Further hand-forged balustrading around the central stairwell is complemented by the uniqueness of that surrounding the balcony, accessed via french doors.

Also suitable for gallery use, this space is ideal for drawing, painting or writing, or for holding small workshops. Ample storage, artists easels, a computer table and sofabed are all provided.

Also to the upper floor is a private room which is ideal for use as a private consulting space, a quiet, meditative space or for writing and reading.

Furnished with a sofabed, it can also be transformed into a double bedroom for short-term stays, and has north-facing views across to the beautiful village church on the hill.

In addition, to the upper floor is a fully fitted bathroom with WC, and which includes a beautiful claw-foot bathtub for long soaks after a long day, or hand-held shower for that quick hose-down.
